About School -
Background of The School -
The foremost class of VIIIth standard, which consisted of 24 students and 2 teachers was started on 6th June 1996, in a rental House. IXth and Xth standards were started in consecutive years. First batch of Xth standard appeared for board examination in 1999 with a success rate of 70.58%. The school was run in a rental building for the first four years. Pratishthan acquired one acre of land for the school and constructed the school building of five rooms. Three rooms were assigned for the school and two rooms were allocated for the Late Premjibhai Asar hostel. New independent building was constructed for the Late Premjibhai Asar hostel and now the school and the hostel are accommodated in two separate self sufficient buildings.
At present there are three class rooms, a science laboratory, I.C.T laboratory, and two rooms for office.
Dr. N. G. Dhere donated Rs. 8 lakhs in the memory of Late Dr. Mrs. Sucharita Dhere, for the construction of the school building. The school was renamed as ‘Dr. Sau. Sucharita Neelkanth Dhere Madhyamik Vidyalay, Devkherki. in an auspicious renaming ceremony on 3rd Jan 2010.
Some salient features of the school are excellent results at S.S.C. Board examination, individual guidance and attention. Excellent performance in Sane Guruji Gunavatta Abhiyan, a quality assessment programme conducted by District education officer. Excellent performance in sports, Active participation and guidance for competitive Examination.
