About Hostel -

In 1960 there was only one secondary School at Taluka place Chiplun. Poor students from rural could not afford secondary education. Dr. Tatyasaheb Natu started secondary Schools at Rampur and Margtamhane in 1962 and 1964 respectively. Students Hostel was started by Dr. Tatyasaheb Natu at Margtamhane in 1965. In 1960 this area was very backward and there were no roads and transport facilities. This Hostel was boon and opportunity  for poor students. Dr. Tatyasaheb Natu used to bear  the expenses from his own pocket.  This Hostel  continued till 1972.
Late Shri Vasantrao Bhagwat pursued Dr. Tatyasaheb Natu to start Hostel for poor students again in 1985. On 7th June 1985 Hostel for economically and socially backward class students in the memory of social worker and philanthropist Late Shree Premjibhai Asar. This Hostel for economically and socially backward class students got Government recognition and Government grant for 30 student  in 1988. This Hostel was later on  shifted to village Devkherki in 1998. For first three Years Hostel was run in rental Building.  Pratishthan acquired one acre of land for the school and constructed the school  building of five rooms. Three rooms were assigned for the school and two rooms were allocated for the Late Premjibhai Asar hostel. Late Shri Vedprakashji Goyal M.P. donated Rs. 10 Lakhs for separate Hostel Building. New independent building was constructed for the Late Premjibhai Asar hostel and now the school and the hostel are accommodated in two separate self sufficient buil.

Official intake capacity of the Hostel is 30 students but now 40 to 45 economically and backward class students are staying and studying in the Hostel. There are absolutely no lodging and boarding charges these students. Till now total 435 students  have passed out from this Hostel. Last 5 years Hostel result for S.S.C. Board Exam. is 100%,  and on an average more than 90% till today. Till now two students have been awarded Best of the Best Student Award by Chaturang Pratishthan. Hostel students have excelled in Taluka level sports competition too. Hostel administration and office bearers of Natu Pratishthan are always trying for overall development of Hostel students. We provide quality nutritious foods Hostel students. The expenses for the extra 15 students are borne by Natu Pratishthan and well wishers and kind hearted donors from the community, otherwise these 15 extra students may not be able to complete their education. The Trust has started ‘ADAPT A STUDENT’ scheme for such students. We appeal well wishers and kind hearted donors from the community to donate funds for such students. We are planning to start a gymnasium for Hostel students.
