  ABOUT TATYASAHEB NATU SMRUTI PRATISHTHAN

     Institutional Establishment of Dr. Tatyasaheb Natu Smruti Pratishthan -

1Late Premjibhai  Asar  Chhatralay Devkheraki, Tal - Chiplun -
The hostel is run by trust since 1996. This hostel is in remote village,  Devkheraki, 4 km. away from Rampur on Chiplun-Guhagar road. The economically backward and backward class students are getting benefit of this hostel facility. The approved intake is 30. At present 43 students stay in the hostel. The trust pays for all the facilities for  extra  students over and above the approved intake.   

2) Dr. Mrs. Sucharita Neekanth Dhere Madhyamik Vidyalay, Devkherki, Tal - Chiplun.
This school is in Devkheraki,  4 km. away from Rampur on Chiplun-Guhagar road, established
in 1996, government recognized and granted school.
3) Vasant Jayaram Bhagwat Madhyamik Vidyalay, Borgaon,Tal - Chiplun.
This school is situated 6 km. away from village   Ghonsare  on the Chiplun-Guhagar Road, established in 1995, Govt, Recognized and granted school.

4) Shri Siddhivinayak Vidyamandir, Mundhar, Tal- Guhagar -

This School is situated 3 kms away from Chiplun-Guhagar road near village Chikhali, established in 1996, Govt. Recogniszed and granted school.

5) G.J.alias Tatya Vaze Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Pacheriagar, Tal-Guhagar.

This School is situated in a remote village, 35 Kms away from Shringartali on Chiplun- Guhagar Road.  Eastablished in 1997, Govt Recognized and granted school.

6)Durgabai Hari Vaidya Madhyamik Vidyalay Anjanwel, Tal- Guhagar

This School at Anjanwel 4 kms away on Guhagar – Veldur Road,  established in 1999.

Govt recognized and granted school.

7) Vasantrao & Shantatai Patwardhan Jr collge of Arts- commerce (comp.) Borgaon, Taluka - Chiplun.
This Jr. College was established  in 2010 on non grant basis.

8) Bhagirthibai Sudam Patil Jr. College Anjanwel, Tal- Guhagar.

This Jr. College was established  in 2009 on non grant basis.  

9) English Medium School Margtamhane, Tal- Chiplun.

English medium School at margatamhane was established in June 2010. It is a self aided (non grant) school. Trust has acquired land for building and construction is in progress.

10) Shridhar Liabrary Margtamhane Tal - Chiplun.

The Library has been started to inculcate reading habit in rural people and students. Students from  local schools and colleges are being benefitted.

Educational Activities of Dr. Tatyasaheb Natu Smruti Pratishthan -

 Educational Programme-

Trust tries to arrange different types of educational Programmes. For example , extra guidance for the students of 10th class, residential camp, coaching for mathenatics and English from resource persons.

Teachers Training  Academy  - 

Shri Shekar Gadagil donated  Rs. 25 lakhs to develop  infrastructure for Teachers Training Academy. A spacious well equipped 2000 sq. ft. hall was built by Pratishthan with this generous donation at Mundhar Highschool. Teachers training programs are being conducted in this hall. Disrict Education Depermant and Natu  Pratishthan request expert faculties in different subjects to conduct training programs. Many Primary and Secondary Teachers from near by Talukas are benefited  by these programs.

Night study classes / supervised Study at night-

All schools of trust arrange the supervised study at night very effectively. This programme is very useful and beneficial for the students of rural area. Improvement of result is the special feature of trust’s schools.

 Personality Development camp -

Dr. Tatyasaheb Natu Smruti Pratishthan and ‘Kridabharti Maharashtra Prant’ jointly held a  two workshops for students. It was aimed at personality development and to enhance ‘physical stamina’ of the students.Training of  Lezim & Suryanamskar was given. Experts from krida Bharti, Maharashtra prant were present to give Training.

Sports Activities -

Trust’s all Schools try to develop the sports activities along with regular study. The instructors impart the training as per interest and skills of the students.  Each year all five schools take part as an individual contestant and as teams up to district level. Shri Siddhivinayak vidyamandir Mundhar, Tal- Guhagar had performed excellently well in Kabaddi. The girl's Kabaddi team was eligible for district level competition for three years. Miss Sapana Bhagawan Mhade was selected in the state level Kabaddi team.  Due to proper guidance she had an honor to play for the state.Miss Ankita Chandrakant Kadam the student of Devkherki was selected for the state level in the game of ‘Tug of War’.           

Prizes For Students -

The trust has deposited certain amount in the bank. Yearly Interest of this amount is used as prize money to encourage the students who excel in study or sports or other extra curricular activities.

Prizes for Teachers -

The trust tries to encourage teachers too. Teachers who try to give good results in study and sports are awarded prizes.

Help for the poor and needy students -

All the schools of trust are in rural and hilly area. Most of the parents are farmers and poor workers. So the trust tries to provide educational material and clothes for the poor and needy students. The trust approaches various NGOs, for the help.

The Best of the Best Student Award -

‘Chaturang Pratishthan Mumbai’ is a well known institution active in cultural and educational field.  It confers the Best Student Award to eligible students every year. The award consists of a medal and a certificate and a cash reward. Many schools From Konkan Region participate for this award. Curricular and Co-Curricular activities are more important for this award.Bio data of the student is scrutinized and the student has to face an interview by an expert committee before being selected for the award. Every year about 50 schools are in the competition for the award. There are total 30 students from the trust's school who got prestigious Best Student award till 2018.

Suryanamskar Competition-

Suryanamskar Competitions are organized in all schools of the Natu Trust every year from mid January to mid February. Cash prizes are distributed to winner and runner up students. 

One Child, One Plant-

Trust’s shri Siddhivinayak vidyamandir mundhar, and Durgabai Hari Vaidya school, Anjanvel, Tal Guhagar,  have started the above project very nicely. Students planted many types of trees in School premises under this project.

Cast Certificates -

Cast certificate is an important document to secure the admission after passing S.S.C.  Many students could not procure caste certificate as it had to be obtained from the Tahasildar office at Taluka place. Considering this difficulty the trust with the help of government authorities made arrangements for the caste certificates to be distributed in the school itself after due verification of the documents.

Scheme and Concession for handicapped students -

In 2006-07 Master Rajesh Ganpat Dhanavade had been studying in Dr. Mrs. Sucharita Neelkanth Dhere Madhyamik Vidyalay Devkherki, Tal Chiplun.  He was the student of trust's Premjibhai Asar Hostel and he was 50% handicapped.  The school had submitted the request proposal to D.H.O., Civil Surgeon Ratnagiri and S.S.C. board for concession during examination. The concerned authorities had sanctioned him the special permission for extra half an hour for all examination papers.The similar proposal had been prepared by the school in the year 2010-2011.

 Other Activities of Dr. Tatyasaheb Natu Smruti Pratishthan -

 

Agricultural camp-

An Agricultural camp was organised in the year 1995 to guide farmers from rural Kokan area. During this camp modern agricultural equipment were exhibited for benifit farmars.

 India Population Project - 7-

Government of India had implemented a program of Population control  in the year 1996 with the help of various NGOs. Natu pratishthan participated in this program. People were Educated to use contraceptive measures to postpone next child birth. Importance of population control and small family happy family were emphasized to the people of child bearing age. Female and male sterilization surgeries were conducted free of cost.   

Blood grouping camp-

Blood grouping camps were organized free of cost in various villages. Importance blood donation was emphasized during the camp and list of potential donors was prepared.  

Hepatitis ‘B’ Vaccination -
The pratishthan has started this programme at margatamhane, Abloli, Talavli for the people of rural area. Vaccine was made available at concessional rate.

Fish Processing Training Camp  -

Guhagar Taluka has a long sea coast. Along the coastal line there is a sizable population of fishermen and women.  A training camp was organized by Natu pratishthan with the help of District Fisheries Department Shirgaon Ratnagiri for benefit  of fisher women. Participant ladies were trained to produce various nonperishable food items from fish.   

Free Pediatric Medical Camp -

Poor People from rural and Hilly area don't get medical help due to transportation and medical cost. To help below poverty line people medical camps for children were organized in various villages. During the camp drugs were distributed to patients free of cost. 

School Students' Health Check-up -

Students from all five schools of  the Natu Smruti Pratishthan are examined by medical practitioner every year. Haematinic drugs and deworming drugs are provided free of cost to all students.   

Solar Energy Workshop

This program was arranged for the Teachers of chiplun and Guhagar Tahasils by Dr. Tatyasaheb Natu Smruti Pratishthan and Solar Energy Centre of Florida, America. This workshop was arranged twice  in the years 2006 and 2010.  Dr. Neelkanth Dhere a scientist and senior Professor in solar energy from Florida, America, Susan Sheleth and penny Hall were personally present to guide the Teachers.

Occupational training to Unemployed youths in rural areas -

Many eligible youths in rural area are unemployed because they are not skilled to do certain jobs. Pratishthan decided to start occupational training centre to eligible unemployed youths from rural area. Skilled youths can get jobs or they can create jobs by starting small scale business. 

The Pratishthan got the help and support of Bank of India's Star Self-employment scheme. First job training program was conducted from  14th  April 2015 to 15th  May 2015

Two wheeler repairing and maintenance training program was conducted for gents and fashion designing training for ladies.

Second  job training program was conducted from  12th April 2016 to 26th April 2016.

Mobile repairing  training program was conducted for gents and   masala (spices) making  training for ladies. Total 120 ladies and gents benefited from these training.
